 Erikoussa ist die nördlichste bewohnte Insel Griechenlands. Ihre Fläche bedeckt rund 6 Quadratkilometer. Gegen 150 Menschen wohnen auf der Insel, die rund 13 Kilometer vor Korfu liegt.
Die Fähren legen im Weiler Porto am südlichen Ende der Insel an, wo Fischer ihre Boote anlegen. Hier ist auch die Hafenbehörde, der Arzt, Apotheker und das Gemeindehaus untergebracht. Es gibt kleine Einkaufsläden, Cafés und Tavernen, die aber wie üblich hauptsächlich während der Saison in Betrieb sind. Hier treffen sich die Einheimischen und die wenigen Besucher der Insel, die nicht mit den Tagesausflugschiffen aus Korfu kommen.
Hauptattraktion Ruhe und Erholung
Die westliche Seite der Insel fällt steil in Meer ab, während sich von Pera Katergo bis hin zum Kap Stamoleka die lange Bucht Portos erstreckt. Hier befindet ein langer Sandstrand mit Glasklarem Wasser, der wohl die Hauptattraktion der Insel ist. Durch das Zentrum von Portos gelangt man nach Megalo Livadi und von dort zum Strand Fiki, einst der Hafen von Erikoussa, auf der Südseite der Insel. Die anderen Attraktionen sind Ruhe, Einsamkeit und Authentizität. Hier befindet sich auch das Hotel Erikoussa.
Der höchste Punkt der Insel heisst Santardo und ist 134 Meter hoch. Um da hinauf zu gelangen, geht man zum Strand von Fiki und dann nach Dentra, dem grössten Weiler der Insel. Hier wachsen viele Olivenbäume und Zypressen. Ein Ort zum entspannen in dem Ruhe herrscht. Gritziatika, Nikolatika, Touri und Apalati sind andere Weiler auf der Insel.
Es gibt also eigentlich nicht viel zu tun auf der Insel. Aber vielleicht gibt es auch genau deshalb umso mehr zu tun - die Beschäftigung mit sich selbst.

Flüge
Auf Erikoussa gibt es noch keine Flüge. Am einfachsten ist es, man fliegt Korfu oder über Athen.

 Erikoussa is the most northern island of Greece, which is inhabited. About 150 People (varing between 80 and300 depending on the source) are living constantly on the island, which covers about 6 squar Kilometers. It is situated about 10 Kilometers nortwest of the Island of Corfu.
Highlights are the silence and solitude
Ferries arrive in the harbour of Porto at the south end of the island. Here you will see the local fishermen and find cafés and tavernas. Porto is also the place where you will find medical help and all govermental facilities. There is not much to do here except during the summer month when the day tours with its packed tourists arrive at the harbour. They leave in the late afternoon when silence calls back on the island.
The western part of the island has steep shores whereas you will find two nice beaches in the south. Especially the long beach in the bay of Portos with it cristal clear whater is a nice place to stay. Here you will find the Hotel Erikoussa too. The most attraction of the island is probably the silence and solitude.

Flights:
There is no direct flight to Erikoussa, as there is no airport there. The easiest way is to fly to Korfu or Athens and take a bus and ship.
